Chicago Engagement Session | Mary and Ed

I am very excited to share Mary and Ed’s engagement photos on my blog today! I have not been to Chicago since I was a kid. My wife Jenna and I arrived on Friday, we were in awe of all the architecture of the buildings in downtown Chicago.

We did the touristy things such as going up in the Willis Tower during the day and at night. We also got our fill of local beer, Goose Island and deep dish pizza from Giordano’s.

We drove around with Mary and Ed on Saturday. We traveled to Cloud Gate (also called The Bean). There were so many tourists I had to figure out a way to photograph them isolated. I put up my flash to highlight them and make everyone else dark and it worked perfectly!

We then warmed up in the Chicago Cultural Center and used the the wonderful architecture as a backdrop. I had to get a skyline shot of Chicago before we finished so we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo to use the honeycomb and the skyline as a backdrop. I loved how everything turned out! Congratulations Mary and Ed on your engagement! I can’t wait for the wedding!
